Umndeni Outfitters & Safaris was founded by professional hunter and outfitter, Johan Venter and is owned by the Venter family. Johan started hunting with his grandfather at a very young age. His grandfather, Gerhardus Smuts, was also a professional hunter for many years who is now enjoying the retired life at the age of 80. The memories that these two share will stay forever and is what Umndeni Outfitters & Safaris wishes to provide to their clients. There is just something about the warm African bushveld and spending time with family and friends, creating memories one will never forget. Johan now gets to share his experience and knowledge not only with clients but also with his own son, Bismarck Gerhardus. Umndeni’s goal is to make life long friends that wants to come back for a bigger and better experience the following year. Hence the name ‘UMNDENI’, meaning family in Zulu.
